Before Thomas Edison discovered the appropriate filament for his electric light bulb, he tried thousands of materials, from hair to bamboo dipped in rock-candy syrup. When someone asked him why he persisted when he had already failed 9,000 times, he replied, “I haven’t even failed once; 9,000 times I’ve learned what doesn’t work.”
No matter what you think you are, you are always more than that.
